mystic13
Not sure if this topic has been adequately addressed in prior threads, but my initial browse/search has not proved successful Anyway, most of my music is downloaded from peer networking sites. Being that these are several, chances are that at the end, for a given artist compilation, files will have different volume outputs. The question i pose then, is how to get them all at about the same sound level? Corollary to the above, I have the following follow up concerns... 1. Do i have to convert the files to wav first to equalize/normalize? 2. How do i choose the optimal level of normalization (i.e. how do i know if sound levels are too loud or conversely too low after the normalization process)? 3. What is the function within WavePad that will allow to normalize several files, all at once and against one another? ...to the experts out there, HELP!!!...Many thanks

sGoodwin
I have the same need and the same question. Did you find a way to do this in WavePad? I also have a program called Pyro with similar editing features, including a wonderful volume leveling feature. However, Pryo has other serious shortcomings so I am exploring WavePad.
