Editing a recorded file

Hello,

 

I downloaded the free version and tried it a little bit. I find it very easy to work with even for a absolute beginner like me. But: When I edit a recordet interview file Wavepad works beautifully till I come to the end. At the end of the file - where I wnated to insert a fade out - it does not play what is graphically shown but it plays the beginning again. So I am not able to finish any file because at the end Wavepad just gets funny. Do you know what`s wrong? I would appreciate helf very much,
