Update to Debut 1.83 doesn't access previous recordings

I have been having couple of freezes with Debut, so, as suggested by NCH, I upgraded to the beta 1.83 version. Now, though when I try to view/edit/convert my previous recordings by accessing them through the "Recordings" button, the previous recordings are not listed. The Preferences points to the correct folder /Users/myname/Movies/Debut and if I click on the Videos button under the "Find and Play" menu (Recordings), it finds the correct location with the system file browser. But since the files don't show up in the list, I can't do anything with them.

 

Any ideas?
