Check messages from phone where IVR is running?

My wife will not use a computer as a voicemail replacement if she can't pick up the phone, dial a couple digits and check if there are messages (and I don't blame her).

 

In other words, my PC at home is running IVR but is in the basement. She'd like to pick up the upstairs phone (the same PSTN line IVR is set to answer) and check messages, just like you would with regular voicemail.

 

Does IVR allow this? If so, how do I configure it? I can't find it in the manual or the FAQ online.
