creative modem blaster v.92 de5671

will a creative modem blaster v.92 de5671 work with version 4.04 vrs recording system i have it installed sometimes it triggers early always hangs up at specified time and does not record incoming conversation this is a usb modem with just a phone lin in and a connection for an extension phone, currently is wired to line in from telephone connection this modem appears to see ring thru my internal mic. any help is appreciated

problem solved with a radio shack 43-228a recorder device
