Pedalware will not recognize keybinds when not focus

I am using my AltoEdge Infinity foot pedal and the pedalware software as a push to talk for VoIP software. My issue is what when Pedalware is for the focus (IE in the background because I am using some other software) it no longer recognizes input from the pedal. I am tried running the software as Administrator, which solves this problem in ventrillo, but it does not solve the issue in Pedalware.

 

Any ideas?

I'd love to know a workaround for this issue as well. I'm trying to get practice transcribing youtube videos, but I can't find a way to get the pedal to only focus on one program. I'm thinking I'm going to have to use two different pcs. :-/
