restore failed... need an important invoice

currently running osx lion.

 

i backed up my invoices before doing a clean os instal.

 

fast forward i tried to restore my invoices and it failed.

 

i cant open any of the .dat files ( i tried everything)

 

there is NO folders being created by the software in the library that i can replace with the old data.

 

 

 

can someone help? i have a specific invoice due for about $1500 and i need a resolution.
