polka
howdy I just upgraded my ES to 5.30 today, and have just recently purchased Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11 Home version for use in sermon transcriptions. I am on a Vista Home windows system, with MacAfee. I have tried to use the speech to text feature before, and it worked, but with awful accuracy. So, I upgraded as mentioned. I have now got them loaded, and seemed to be working as before, but together they just don't jive at all I now recieve an error message saying, "Speech to text timeout. If you are using Dragon NaturallySpeaking you must right click the icon in the tray and exit first before loading soundfile." Okay fair enough. Except that Dragon was already off, and it was not in the tray, nor anywhere else for that matter. Task manager doesn't show it running up front, or in the background. Spooks, eh? <grin> What am I missing, or doing wrong? Thanks for your consideration, and any suggestions you may have. Rex W. Ulmer
