HGWT
Right after loading a video with the Add button and clicking on the file name in the Media List box the first frame of the video loads into the Selected Clip Preview box and then I get the 'going round in circles' cursor that Windows 7 uses. Nonstop. I have to go to Windows Task Manager to get out of it. The progam seems to work fine on my XP machine and I've downloaded the latest update to see if it improves. Actually I think it gets worse. Anyone else experience this mess?
randyclarke
Yes that's exactly what's happening to me. Have you found a solution? Thanks.
HGWT
Yes that's exactly what's happening to me. Have you found a solution? Thanks. Although NCH tried hard to help me out, my solution came from the tech support of another piece of software that would not run properly under Win 7. What I did to solve this was to change the compatability of the .exe file in this way: Right click on the filename (videopad.exe) and choose properties. In the Compatibility tab I put a checkmark in the "Disable desktop composition". That's it!

HGWT
Well RRBTZ, did it work out for you?
randyclarke
Well RRBTZ, did it work out for you? No. But thanks for the suggestion. Videopad works just fine on my wife's computer with Windows 7, without the checkbox idea. Wont' work on mine at all.... I'm going to start with Dell.... Thanks again
ProtoEva00
Had the same problem, nothing would load, and I knew that the program had worked a few months before when I tried the demo. Windows updates, video driver updates, virus checks, registry scans,re-installation of video pad, nothing worked. But then I started noticing lockups in flash, and bad 3d frame rates in other programs. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but what ever the problem was, it was my fault, some unknown change I had made since a few months ago, as I re-installed windows, and now the program works like a dream. thomasAnderson
you need to install the codec pack to get rid of this. Download and install klite codec pack and check for any driver updates for windows through windows update install it & restart. I hope it will help you.
