Guest Jose Lopez
I want to convert large (100-150MB) realaudio files to MP3 or AAC. When I try this, using either the variable bitrate settings or the 128kbit/s settings, the resulting file is only ~30Mb large and has only a fraction of the content of the original file. Small files work fine. I have plenty of HD space and RAM, so I don't know why this is happening. Switch isn't even using that many system resources as it tries to do the coversion. The resulting files are fine, they're just too short! Also I want to know which settings are best for converting realaudio to MP3 or AAC. I find that unless I use high bitrates (~128kbit/s) the quality of the coverted file is inferior to that of the realaudio file. The drawback of that is that the resulting MP3 or AAC will be at least 2x the size of the input realaudio file. AAC seems to do a bit better though.
