Installation and audio problems

Unfortunately, I was unable to fully trial the product prior to purchase and I've had some problems with the set up. However, I also have a problem when recording test dictation in that it appears to be recording then doesn't save. Also, when I try to send by email I'm told send failed because audio encoding failed. I'm at my wits end because I really need this to be working. Can anybody shed some light on it???? Thanks.
