Completed Slideshow with problems - HELP

I have created a slideshow with video (around 13 pictures). produced the video file and it is a .avi (to open with window media player).

I sent the video to some friends. Some click on the attachment and it runs perfectly. Others have reported that it does not run or only runs the audio. I have given the additional instructions - save to desktop and right click play with window media player ....and it still does not work.

Any suggestion on what instructions to provide for the nonworking pc's? or what to do different in the production stage of producing the slideshow (free version)? HELP......its a great program other than this problem.
