billj
I have an old TEAC W-700R double cassette deck I am trying to use to send voice recordings on cassette to the software to edit and burn to CD. It has RCA plugs for output. How do I get it to play into my Compaq Presario SR1500NX xp computer in order to use the editing software.
Guest rob_c
1) Plug the LINE OUT from your Cassette deck or amplifier into the LINE IN on your soundcard (you'll need an RCA to stereo phono adaptor lead/plug) ; 2) Fire up your Sound Editor ; 3) Set your RECORDING DEVICE (in either your editor or Windows Volume Control or your Soundcard's Mixer Panel) to LINE IN ; 4) Adjust the INPUT LEVEL . . . hit RECORD ; 5) Save each file as a .WAV or convert them to .MP3.
