Scribe not playing audio file to the end

I have an XP & a Vista machine running Express Scribe. Both seem to cut off audio files during the last 2 to 3 seconds of the file, but the counter says it is at the end of what the file actually is in length. The audio file is an mp3: 128kbps bitrate, encoded by Fraunhofer IIS MP3 v04.00.03 (fast), 26.1 MB, 00:28:27 in length. Other audio player play the file just fine, full length. Not sure what is going on, seems like a timing/clock issue.
