Will I lose my registration if I upgrade to 2.00?

I posted the following message in late July, when the release of v. 2 was announced; there has not been any reply since.

 

I am a licensed user of v. 1.10 and am wondering what will happen if I install the free v. 2.00 on top of v. 1.10. Will I lose my registration or will my software be simply updated for free. I think you announcement should make this clear. Thanks in advance.
