Guest tsnelson
I downloaded switch today and have really considered buying the full version. I use a lot of .dss files with my Olympus recorder. I used switch to convert some of my old .wav files to mp3 so I could save some valuable space on my hard drive But then I discovered the .wav files that switch converted into mp3 were LARGER then the original .wav files Is this possible? What went wrong? I thought I had found a true gem with switch but now I'm not sure. Thank you
Guest lynyee
I am having the same problem. I converted a wav file to an mp3 file with the intention to save disk space. The original wav file was 71,700KB, and the mp3 file turned out to be over 100,000 KB. Does anyone know why? Any suggestions? Thanks!
Guest Guest
Might depend on the sample rate you are saving at? Is it music or speech? I save speech at 64 and music at 128 or 190. In general MP3 is always smaller than WAV. Rick
