RobK Posted June 10, 2009 Share Posted June 10, 2009 According to Switch Website, Switch does NOT support the decoding of the AAC+ and enhanced AAC+ codecs on the Mac. Since Switch appears to be using faad to do aac decoding and faad supports AAC+ and enhanced AAC+ decoding, perhaps this is a mistake on the website. Can someone confirm whether the Mac version really does NOT do AAC+ decoding? If not, it should be easy to support AAC+ and enhanced AAC+ decoding for the Mac version of Switch. Just update faad to the latest version (version 2.7). Many internet radio stations now stream using AAC+. It would be great to actually be able to convert the audio properly.
