Only sound playing

I am a complete novice at movie making. I downloaded VideoPad this morning and I was pleased that I was able to create a simple piece of video. (I have previously tried using MyDVD which came with my camera, utterly hopeless.)

 

Anyway, I built the project to be playable on my laptop (Windows XP). However, it won't play at all on Real Player, and on windows Media player I can just get the audio.

 

I thought I could just stick a dvd in my disc drive, and burn it to disc but VideoPad is not detecting a burner. (I am very innocent about all this.)

 

Can some kind person also explain how I can see my movie in preview as I can't seem to sort this out?
