hi new to this i'm making a cd and i'm used to old fostex i want to record track then sing along to it but when i do the trak is in same file as voice is there a way to record vocal only but here track please help kiddo

Hope you figured it out, since you posted almost 4 months ago. But in case you haven't: Before you record the vocals on the second track, be sure to un-punch the Record button for the first track, and make sure the channel you've chosen in the Track Recording Options for the second track is 'microphone', not What U Hear. Also, use headphones when recording vocals; if you don't, the speaker sound is going to enter the microphone along with your voice. Happy singing.
