wavepad window appearance

I just downloaded the trial version of WavePad and like what I see. I was able to edit a .wav from my HD and all came thru OK and onto the burned CDR.

 

My main problem is that when I see the waveforms in the main window the right channel is enormous and the left channel is tiny and near the top of the window. How can I get the two channels to look the same in proportion while editing?

The upper window displays the wave form of the audio file always in its full length - it is useful for knowing where you are in the file. The lower window shows the wave form of the audio based on the zoom level.They are not the left and right channels.
