herondave
This may not be worth looking into as I'm playing with a *slightly* obsolete system! When creating a data CD, Express Burn gets about 60% of the way through the Lead In/Lead Out stage (judging by the progress indicator), then says "Burn has failed. Please try a new CD or lower burn speed." However, the CD is readable afterwards in both the CD-R and other CD-ROM (not CD-R) drives, so something is working! I get the same result using both of the available burn speeds (1x and 2x). I haven't tried many different brands of CD yet, though. Express Burn is the first CD burning software that has worked at all, so I'm far from disappointed! Good work! Japanese Windows 95 4.00.950 C Ricoh MP6200S External SCSI-2 CD-R/CD-RW (labelled as Midori Elec CRW-390) Rex 5536AM PCMCIA SCSI-2 Card Thanks! I'll keep playing! NCHCraig
Hi, are all the files present and readable on the CD (notabvly the files in the last few folders)? If you would contact me (craig@nch.com.au) I will send you a diagnostic version to resolve your problem and hopefully get a complete burn.
herondave
are all the files present and readable on the CD (notably the files in the last few folders)?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> G'day, On the CDs I have made, everything is readable. But so far the amount of data has been under 100MB, so I'm not sure what would happen if I tried to fill a disc. Haven't tried an audio CD, either. I'll email you though and try the diagnostic version. Thanks very much!
