Guest Bill
Switch supports it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've just bought an mp3 player from ebay. and i was trying to play the recorded filename rec01.act in windows. It seems to be nearly impossible. downloaded konvertor, switch and a couple more but none of them succeeds in converting the sound file. so i think i'll stick to .wav recordings. media player fails ! real player fails ! so i guess .act sound file is non-standard. nchtj
I know many recorders create non-standard .act files, I have seen this myself. We can only support the stock standard .act format, as created by the Actions company who made the format. We have no idea how to handle variations. Lack of enforced standardization in formats like this is frustrating I assure you.

I had spent so much time on the internet searching for a program that would be compatible with my mp3 player. Fortunately I ended up on this site and this link took me to the place which solved my problem. I don't know how to thank you enough. My very best regards to you. notaclue
Just to bring back this topic, none of the d/l seem to work for the dual MD210/128 MP3 player. Even though the player has .WAV capability, the .ACT format is not converting. Although I do get 8 hours of recording time on .WAV, the player has VOX (voice operated) in .ACT mode. Now I can use the .ACT mode and record all noises, but I want to have the .ACT converted to MP3 and so far, none of the file downloaded has worked. Will Swift let the .ACT be formatted in a patch under a generic tool so I can convert from ACT to WAV then to MP3. Or is this a case of inconpatability on files being different all over? nchtj
it may not be possible for you to convert *your* act files to wave or mp3 regardless of how many updates we do, I have heard of many variations on the ACT format and we just dont know how to support them all. we are attempting to support a second variation of the .act format for the next switch release, but whether we succeed or not is another question.
