ID3 tag - how to save

Hello, I have the free version of WavePad version 2 and find that the audio quality of an mp3 is much better than that of Audacity, however unlike Audacity I cannot seem to save the ID3 Tags. Once I have recorded and then edited a sound file I add the ID3 Tag information, choose the Save As option, give the file a name and choose the bit rate - the file pays back okay on Real Player, but the ID tag is missing. Opening the file again in Wave Pad confirms this - the ID Tag has gone!

 

Am I doing something wrong? Or doesn't Wave Pad support tags on mp3's?

 

Any help, comments or advice would be most welcome.

Hi,

 

Try to follow these steps:

~ Record file

~ Save As mp3 file or wav file

~ Edit ID3 tags. After click OK on the Edit ID3 tags window, just simply close the file. Don't do Save As again.

 

This should work fine.
