  1. Thanks for responding! MixPad can record far more tracks than I'd need, but if getting the aspects I want comes with the territory, then so be it.
  2. I currently have WavePad, and for editing and slightly adjusting some audio aspects, it’s pretty good. Now, I’m wanting to record either one or two sound sources — a speaker (audiobook reading), or a singer and pianist. WavePad allows one to adjust compression, threshold, ratio, attack, etc. However, if I want to adjust threshold, ratio, output, boost gain, attack and release, Wavepad seems only to permit round-number adjustments. I've seen a tutorial on the concepts of compression, EQ, and so forth. What NCH software allows fine audio adjustments toward what Waves offers without being more than I need or want to pay?
