Siamese Twist

Hello. I exported a project and burned to cd to test the mix on various playback systems, however the project has now gone from mixpad. Is this what happens or is it recoverable? At least I do have a 2ctracj stereo mix on cd but I expected all the files to still be in the project, is this what happens or have done something wrong? I'm hoping the files are stored somewhere and recoverable? Thanks for any help.
