  1. Hello. Wondering if anyone can help me solve an irritating problem. I JUST downloaded Switch onto my iBook - (a G4 running Tiger/OS 10.4.8) - with the goal of converting some of my Mac iTunes sound files into a format which will be accepted/recognized by my Sony Ericcson Walkman phone (a w600i). Most of the sound files on my iBook are in Apple-friendly formats - the majority of them are in .m4a - a few are in .mp3 - and initially, when I tried to transfer them from my iBook to my phone via a nifty Bluetooth connection, the process was continually aborted - and I received error messages telling me that the Format was not one which was 'recognized' by my phone. (This applied to both .m4a and .mp3 files by the way) Well...I figured that with a nifty app like Switch, it should be a piece of cake to convert my Mac files to a more 'friendly' format which my Sony phone might accept/use/recognize. Good idea, right? So then I open Switch and set it up for a test run - I specify a file to Convert - then I specify a format to convert it to - and I also specify a Destination Folder for it to deposit the newly converted file - then I CLICK on the CONVERT button - And......NOTHING HAPPENS. Well, that's not quite true. There's a brief quick flurry of some activity - and then the Switch App QUITS. When I search the Destination Folder (or location) - there's NO converted file there. Just to be on the safe side, I searched multiple possible locations for a newly conveted file. I used Apple's excellent FIND function to search the entire bloody computer BUT - NO SIGN of any converted file. So - what's going on? Why isn't Switch converting files? And - question 2 - why does it automatically Quit after performing a Convert function? And - as long as I'm at it - in the event that someone can help me to solve problems 1 & 2 above and get the bloody thing working - does anyone know which sound formats music files should be in to work on my Sony Cell phone? (I know theoreticaly the Sonys are supposed to read/play .mp3 files - but in real life, my phone will NOT accept a Mac iTunes music file in the Mac .mp3 format - claiming it can't read/recognize the format during attempted Bluetooth file transfers? So....I'm DESPERATE. Any ideas???? Thanks for any suggestions. Miguel
