  1. I always knew that Videopad ran for six months before upgrades were chargeable, and during that time it ran okay. After using Videopad for a year and a few good productions, I thank the company for a relatively low-cost video editor, but it's time I moved on and frankly I have a lot of criticisms. Too much time lost waiting for the software to stop buffering blocking out every preview, and no option to reduce the playback resolution, an omission which destroys workflow/production. After a year and upgrading to V8.16, the software is still hanging/not responding, far too often. And when you want to stabilise a video, it takes far too long. These annoying bugs are still present after a year's use, and thirty (time-consuming) productions in the bag. Everything seems to take twice as long as it should. Frankly the upgrade fee doesn't seem worth it, and all-in-all I could lose hours in a day trying to find workarounds and waiting for Videopad to behave. But as a low cost entry-level product, it's not bad for home videos. As I said, thanks, and it's been an extremely useful entry-level video editor.
