Can you send a target folder where I can upload the portable project file?

Downloaded 8.18 this Sunday. No matter where I edit, bin or sequence, these things seem to happen.

After I crop or reposition a clip, it shows up as grey. At first, that only seemed to happen in the sequence view, but now also in the bin. Before this started happening, I was able to play cropped clips, but when a fade-in or fade-out was applied the non-cropped version of the clip showed up. Any help?
