During the video there are high noise spikes that I want to cut out or silence. How can I do this. I tried putting the cursor over at the beginning and end of the spike but nothing is being cut, not even the video. But of course I don't want to cut the video. I either want silence the audio spike or cut it out altogether at those different places.

Today I purchased and installed a Home version of Video Pad. After opening the program I got a popup asking if I wanted to make a Backup of the program. I selected to make the backup but it didn't put it where I intended it to be. So I found the file and instead of copying it I accidently deleted it. Now I can't figure out where to find the .exe and other files which were in the popup to backup to the USB device which I had intended to use for the backup. If anyone here knows where I can locate the files to backup, please respond. thanks
