I downloaded the trial version of Wavepad a couple weeks ago and started getting these annoying messages about purchasing upon starting my computer. RecordPad started up along with other memory resident applications. This was extremely annoying. I told myself if these are the sort of tactics that NCH uses to sell their software, maybe I should buy this software somewhere else (even though I did like their software). After my trial period expired, I figured that I would go ahead and buy the software, So, I clicked on purchase and I went through the procedure that they had on their website and purchased what I thought was the correct software and I purchased RecordPad instead of WavePad. When I purchased, they had the worst purchase interface that I have ever seen. I wanted to purchase a CD disc of the program with the manual, but when I purchase what I thought was Wavepad, They don't even ask me for my mailing address. All that they asked for was my credit card information and that was it. The next page indicated that if I had purchased the program and wanted it mailed to me, I would have to email them all the information along with with a (I presume a PDF Copy) copy of their confirmation response to them with my mailing address and all that BS. In any event, I finally realized that recordpad was not the same as wavepad and tried emailing them to let them know the mistake. In any event, I had quite a few problems. I was, I repeat, particularly annoyed with the terrorist tactics used on the startup of my computer with all the freaking pop ups. Lets see how long this post stays up here.
