  1. PROBLEM SOLVED: I saved the file into .aiff in iTunes and then moved it onto my hard drive, from where Express Scribe could open and play it. ORIGINAL PROBLEM: The Express Scribe program works for my other clients' files, but I cannot open .wav files from a brand-new client in the program. The files load but show no duration and nothing happens when I try to play them. I can open them in iTunes and QuickTime Player, but I obviously cannot transcribe from those programs. When I tried to open them on my Dell using the PC version of Express Scribe, the files would load and show duration, but nothing happened thereafter. When I tried to open a file in Windows Media Player, I got the message: "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. One or more codecs required to play the file could not be found." Could that have anything to do with my inability to open the files in Express Scribe either on my Mac or Dell? Since this project is for a new client, your timely advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
