Thanks, but the problem is that even though the computer recognizes the camcorder, Video Pad isn't seeing it. The only option in that drop-down list is my laptop camera.

I have just installed Video Pad for the first time and am attempting to capture from a camcorder. The instructions I saw indicated to choose clip, record and then click the record button. But the only thing that it records is my laptop camera and when I attempt to choose my camcorder as the device that is not an option. Is there some way to m make the software recognize my camcorder?
