  1. There was alot of activity 2 days ago which made me feel the product was worth waiting for, but now the board seems to have gone dead. Is there any progress on fixing the Access error? Has anyone had any better success with another product? I need to move forward with my project.
  2. Also the conversions that are working seem to be loosing the first 1-2 seconds of music.
  3. Ok I looked with my hex editor and there is nothing obvious between the 2 files. Both files headers start with "RIFF" and end with "data". the "d" in data on both files starts at offset 450 Hex. Both files appear to have extended data at the end of the file. I can View the Extended File Information on both files. When I say Remove unsupported files none of the files are removed.
  4. I shortened my list to about 400 files and same problem. The system crashed on the second file with a EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION. This time it didn't complete the second file. So it might be unique to this file. Im not sure. The Codec reports the same for all my files and the file is only about 10 MB. I'm going from WAV to MP3. I can play the file with Windows Media Player but I cant seem to play any of my files with Switch Plus. The one file it converted also plays as an MP3. Ahhh I can also repro the problem if I choose "Edit Audio Tag" on that file but it opens the tag on the first file. And if I attempt to right click and choose "Edit the audio in Wave Pad" on any of my files I get an error Cannot open the file xxx Because the required ACM codec is not installed on this PC. Open the file with Widows media player......... But I can play all my files with WMP. Stamp will not see the tag info on the second file either but it does on the first. Im gonna break out my hex editor and see what I can see.
  5. Well after about 1 hr 20 minutes I was able to click on Convert however it only converted one song and then crashed with Access error. I'll try converting a smaller amount. Copying them to the hard drive would be too time consuming. It takes about 6 hours to copy the 3500 files to the USB drive so I prefer not to waste another 6 hours copying back to my hard drive every month. I'd rather just convert directly to my hard drive. . .
  6. I've downloaded the switch plus demo. In the documentation it appears to do most of what I want but so far I haven't had much success. I plan on repeating this task every month. I have an external USB drive with ~3500 Wav files in a single folder. Each month I need to convert them to mp3, rename the files and move them into folders all based on the tag information in each wav file. It appears that Switch Plus cannot rename/move the files unless they are ripped from a cd. I've located an application called tagscanner that can do the renames so the questions are, 1. Are there any immediate plans to add features like Tagscanner has, to switch plus? 2. How long should it take for switch to add a folder with ~3500 files. I've hit add folder, browsed to the folder with the wav files and hit add. The screen filled wilth files and the add files progress bar zipped across but I've been waiting for over 45 minutes for it to complete so I can click on convert. Is this normal. I know its a slow USB drive but this seems a bit excessive. The 3500 files consist of about 36 GB of data with the largest wav file around 75 MB. Thanks
