I'm using version 3.58 but have noticed the same thing Bruce did and that's odd because it is common to select multiple small sections of the same clip. I found that once you have selected the portion of the clip you want and added it (using the green arrow) you can go back to the preview pane and slide the out point to approximately where you want it and then the in point to just about where you want that. Once you have moved the out and in points downstream of the first setting, the green arrow will re-appear. Then you can fine tune the exact in and out points you want. That's a little clunky especially for those of us who produce sometimes long multi-cam shots and then wat to go back and cut them together. Bill
