Update: I tried it on my wife's computer and it worked fine. Then back on my computer, I removed VP and re-installed, and now it works.

Nationalsolo, I do understand the steps, and I know it is supposed to work; but something is messed up on my end and VP is not treating the VOB file as video.

borate, I installed the BASIC codecs you mentioned, and I used the tweak tool to reset and re-register codecs, but there is no change in VP; it still treats the VOB as an audio file. I can play the VOB correctly in Windows Media Player, so I didn't try that other player.

The files play fine in Windows MovieMaker. I updated to VP 3.61 - same problem. I tried the known-good vob file you provided - same problem.

I have a licensed copy of VideoPad 3.60, running on Windows 7. I am trying to add a VOB file from a DVD of home movies, but it always ends up in the Audio clips instead of Video clips. How do I add these files as Video? Thanks,
