I have this same problem. Just downloaded the software and it seems pretty good. Found this in the help files: Split transactions are used to itemize transactions larger transactions into smaller amounts with multiple categories. Add Click the Add button to open add a new split for the current transaction. Delete Click the Delete button to delete the selected split for the current transaction. However, I find no "add button" to open a new split for the current transaction. Maybe I'm just not seeing it, but.... Any help to this newbie would be appreciated. Iris
