The older version was way more intuitive. I could drag to project, click the left flag, record, click the right flag, the arrow icon, the film icon; when my project was ready, I could removeinitial clip I was editing prior to having Video Pad edit the clip under my chosen label. All this happened in one place, the left-hand side of the screen. I never really understood what was happening on the right side, but it didn't matter. All I'm trying to do is reduce my clips by removing dull parts, then saving the new clip. It used to work so simply. After finishing, Video Pad would then notify me project was ready, and I'd find it in VideoPadProects. Simple. If NCH is trying to force an upgrade, I'm not sure I can ever make this work, home premium or not. I'd even consider upgrading if it would allow me to crop/zoom. I'm looking for a more serviceable, simple alternative. Windows Movie Maker may have to be my new editor. Any suggestions? Hey, NCH: if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Ever hear of "New Coke"? Or Windows 8? I want my old version back, that works on Windows 8.
