I recently installed the new Windows 7 and even though I am thrilled with the OS, I'm having trouble getting my foot pedals to work. Is this a problem with ES and Windows 7?

All's well that ends well. The foot pedal now works. I uninstalled my older version, installed the new version as if I had never had it before, turned off my computer, unplugged the foot pedal, turned computer back on, plugged in foot pedal, did the foot pedal wizard and now it's working just fine. Woo-hoo! It's a good day indeed!

I upgraded my version of Express Scribe today and now my foot pedal does not work. The foot pedal is one I purchased off of the ES site and has always worked wonderfully. I unplugged it, then plugged it back in and restarted my computer. The crazy thing is it works perfectly when I use the Foot Pedal Wizard. However, when I try to use it myself, the left-hand side doesn't respond at all, the middle section rewinds, and the right-hand side fast rewinds. What gives??
