In the OLD days, if one wanted to change the overall time duration of a WAV file
output (when the computer was playing the WAV file through the sound card
out to the speakers), all you had to do was change ONE NUMBER, the sample
rate, in the WAV file header.
Say, change 44100 to 44000.
This was, within the bandwidth limitations of the soundcard's DAC, artifact-free
except for the slight change in pitch.
Can WavePad do this? Can WavePad take a WAV file and JUST change the
output sample rate (no interpolations, resampling, none of that).
If so, or if the pay version of WavePad can do so -- I'm very interested in
purchasing the product.
