Previous / Next frame needs both hands (Ctrl - arrow) unless you are a piano player ... This is not practical !.

Videopad after each record , adds 2 more blank lines (I put 'xxxxxx' , at this place was the 2nd blank line)

Back in 2000 , Ulead Media Studio (6.x) supported DX plugins so I used 'LoudnessMaximizer' , FinalPlug' etc ,

Back in 2003 , Pinnacle Studio 9 came with 'Leveler' but also supported VST plugins so I also used 'FinalPlug' and 'TC - Limiter'

Nowdays most video packets include something similar (like 'Dynamics' , 'New Blue Audio Polish' etc) but they are also support both VST and DirectX audio plugins so you have plenty free options ( http://www.kvraudio....lm[]=500&bl[]=t ) .

Since VP does not have something similar you have to do this by the hard way . (process the audio externally using audio editor)

This audio process mostly referred as 'Limiter' , 'Normalize' etc . (Compressor is something different)

Since Videopad does not provide something similar , you have to extract audio , process it with some audio software , and then re import it in videopad .

I have similar problem but never report it. Many times I open my old mini DV captures . They are 1-hour .avi fies 13GB each one (w DV looseless codec 768x576 @25) . With clear cache , progress bar stops even if the vp windows is in focus (no minimized) . Progress bar stops with no certain cause (happens even in i5 with 200GB free space) .

And something more . Even when I wait xxxx hours and make some edit job, when I close this project and I open again, the project is not 100% cached . (tried to empty cache again but no success)

That's my point ... there's no 'X' in the audio part . The X in the video sections does not affect audio .

this is a 2 track workout... So there is no way to do it in 1 track ,

..then to fade from track 1 to track 2 use the .....

So ... the only way to crossfade audio between clips A & B is to put A & B in different tracks ?

Strange that in the second screenshot (http://prntscr.com/8gf7kl) the effects dialog opened without any clip being selected.

 

Which clip you applying the effect on? In the Bin or the Sequence?

I repeat the same job on 4.00 and work OK .

Have you tried clear the cache (Option->Disk->Clear Unused Cache Files) before you open the file?

Yes i did,

Although it's very easy to determine the problem:

... start a new project

... inset a file

... apply crop effect (resize it , don't leave it full frame)

And preview is disappeared ....

All other relative effects (like position) are working OK .

I can use Crop OK with 4.00 but not with 4.10 & 4.11

Nat, as I see it is exported ok when Compressor is 'H264'

but not when 'Mpeg4'

H264 uses x264enc7.exe while mpeg4 uses internal code from videopad.exe so there are different procedures .

Tried this and all exports were 1280 x 720

When exporting to 720p / 50fps / avi everyting is OK .

When exporting to 720p / 50fps / mp4 all I got is a 320x240 file

1) Holding the cursor (on timeline) you repeatedly hear an audio loop .

2) Reviewing the project on storyboard the interface always scroll to the current range. You cannot point a very old clip for example .

3) Among common rates is 48fps but not 50fps! . (You can ad it from 'custom' anyway) .

4) Stabilizing a file , made a temporary file @ 12Mbps bitrate . So it's useless if I create an export file with more quality . So there must be a quality option there ...

5) Exporting to File uses the same presets as exporting to Google Drive and Dropbox . So it spoils my separate settings . (relevant to older request for multiple export presets)

... PS. Also I usually try two versions for export 720x304 for faster and 1280x540

Me too . Up to 4.05 , i was using 'Portable Device' to store one group of settings and "Computer Data" to store another .

Now 'Portable Device' is gone .

Multiple custom templates are practical , but they 're missing .

You are searching something like (audio) noise removal plug-in/effect . Compressor is something totally different ...

There is no such thing here . You can process the audio file with (free) Audacity and bring it back here again ...

The issue is also discussed in previous topics. I think the main problem is you don't really see the actual frames 1:1 .

(You have 25fps preview on 23,997 or 24 or 25 or 30 or 50 or 60 fps video).

So... even in case of 30fps you mention that preview is done at 25fps ...

For each frame you see, there are 1.2 frames actual video ...

For 10 frames you see there are 12 frames actual video ...

How do you know if your cut or split is 100% accurate ? (export file will not have unwanted frames)

...This's a known bug to be fixed.

In other packages for years now (Vegas v9 @2008, APE 10 @2009 , Nero Video 10 @2010) there are 60 distinct frames per second waiting for you to edit them !.

We call 'bug' something that was working in some previous versions and does not work now .

If something never worked the desired way in ever version made, then it's not a bug ... it's a limitation

Is there some certain dates for new releases ?.

We 're talking about 'known bugs', issues from summer 2014 ... (Reverse speed effect)
