  1. I tried those tools, but they did not seem to give loudness info. Am I missing something?
  2. I know this is an old thread - just now trying to test out WavePad. I too am looking for a way to know what the loudness is for a particular bit of audio. I like the Peak Finder tool. But how can I tell what the exact loudness/volume/dB of that peak is? Does WavePad not have a way to do this? Thanks!
  3. Okay I figured it out :-P. It defaulted to recording in stereo, but wasn't showing a left and right waveform - just a single one, which is odd. But under "Options" in the Home tab, under Channels, I saw that 2 (Stereo) was selected. I changed it to 1(mono) and that did the trick for the next recording. Hopefully this will help someone else.
  4. I'm testing out WavePad and recorded just a little of my voice in mono. But I can only hear it in the left speaker/headphone. Is it recording in stereo and just showing a single wave form somehow? If so, how do I convert to mono? If this isn't what is happening (headphones and speakers work fine so it isn't that), what might be causing this? Thanks.
  5. I want to be able to play back starting at my cursor location, but as soon as I press Play, it starts playback from the beginning of the file. What do I need to do? I must say, this program is not very intuitive. Thanks, Ken
  6. I seem to have fixed it by NOT choosing the ASIO version of my interface. Weird. Ken
  7. I opened a mono file in WavePad, but it only plays back in the left speaker channel. How do I center it? Thanks, Ken
