  1. In my desperation i continue to investigate this as best as i can. Regarding emails, I am running Zone alarm firewall but i have allowed EI access to everything (Super trusted) and also ticked the "send email option". No joy. For the paypal option, I have looked into getting API credentials, which can be found here: https://cms.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=developer/e_howto_api_NVPAPIBasics#id084E30I30RO I have now got my credentials but not sure about the Gateway URL, I've tried a couple of options including these options here on the paypal site: Server end point Description https://api-3t.sandbox.paypal.com/nvp Sandbox server for use with API signatures; use for testing your API https://api-3t.paypal.com/nvp PayPal “live” production server for use with API signatures https://api.sandbox.paypal.com/nvp Sandbox server for use with API certificates; use for testing your API https://api.paypal.com/nvp PayPal “live” production server for use with API certificates But i get this error: convertsockettoSLL return false. So this is where i am, I'm not just sitting here waiting for answers but maybe together we can sort this out? Thanks
  2. Hello all! As this is a user2user forum and staff appears no where to be seen, I was wondering whether the Paypal and Email settings work for anyone!? I have seen a lot of similar requests/messages about these settings with no comprehensive reply from staff or users. I mean, if they do not work then they don't right? Even though those two features where key in my decision to buy. I still think if they worked this would have been a great piece of software. We should make potential buyers aware on CNet etc that if these features are key to their purchase they may want to stay away. My first attempt to contact NCH support was rather disappointing (but they did reply); For paypal they advised I contact paypal which is ridiculous seeing as it's their piece of software. The least they could do is provide links which may help. For emails they said: "From Express Invoice please go to options -> other -> e-mail settings -> (tick 'send directly to other side') and retry." I have tried both options and the same thing happens, it says "connecting to server" then comes back with a message that says "Unable to connect to server "xxxx.com" xxxx representing whatever the domain of the client is. So I am appealing to users directly for help. I'd like to think these work for someone out there. Anybody? Help? Please? Thanks in advance.
  3. Hello, When i emailed the support to ask the same question, this was the response I got which I felt was less than helpful. "Please contact your gateway provider (eg Paypal) so that they can talk you through the relevant settings which are specific to your account." I mean, have you ever tried contacting paypal? LOL.
