Yes - The transitions/fading were the issue here. I can add text no problem with the overlay, but it 'slams' onto the screen and there seems to be no provision for fading in or out. I'll try just making an image in photoshop or something, saving it as a Tiff, placing it in the movie, and fading the clip that way. Lots of work for what should be a simple procedure... Hey NCH, put a fade function on the text overlay please!

I updated today from V 2.11 to 2.22, and while I like what I see so far, title transition is no longer working. The steps you listed for a simple title on a blank scene is what I've used several times, but it no longer works. There is NOT a text option in the effects in V 2.22, only the Overlay feature, which can't be transitioned or faded otherwise. Is there a work around? Thanks - Gabe
