  1. Hi all, Two questions that I can't seem to figure out: When inserting a new clip onto the timeline between two other clips I position the cursor at what seems like the beginning point of the second (end) clip. I insert the new media, clicking on the radio button for insert at cursor. However, invariably, there is a nanosecond of the previous clip that remains. Is there anyway around this....i.e. a way to indicate insert at beginning of highlighted clip? SIMILARLY: is there any way to zoom in on the video track so that instead of seeing say the whole film project one is seeing a 30 second segment, i.e. I could see that 1 second clip that remained from incorrectly inserting the previous one, and delete it. Thanks in advance for any suggestions, David
  2. Hi all, I have a series of three clips that I've edited to where I like them. Now that they're edited they'll form the basis for introduction of a series of YouTube videos I'm creating. So my question, how do I take these clip segments and move them into a new Videopad project? I can't seem to have two projects open at the same time, and so don't think I can just drag them. I can't seem to copy the clips (with CTRL+C) from one project, close it, open a new project and paste them....it almost seems like the only option is to have the first project, and then delete the rest of the clip segments following what I want to keep, and then build the new project around it....but that's bassackwards. Is there no way to export clip segments? Or permanently include the in/out points so that I can just include the clips (with segments marked) in the new videos..... Any advice would be much appreciated, Best, David
  3. Well, I found a workable solution, although it's very bassackwards.... By right clicking on the preview window once I've hit play then the video starts playing (i.e. I can see it). Unfortunately, the window is then partially obscured by a text box that pops up asking what I want to do, i.e. open a file, but at least I can see part of what's playing! Any better ideas would always be appreciated!
  4. Hi all, Just getting started with this software, so please excuse what I'm sure is a stupid newbie question: I load a media file (.wmv) into VideoPad, and drag the clip in and the preview window only shows grey. The clip itself is shown in the editor (i.e. I can see the pictures composing the individual frames), but I can't see anything in the preview window (making it very hard to edit!). I thought maybe it was a compatibility issue, so converted it to .avi, but still no luck. Windows movie maker can open and edit the file no problem, so I don't think that's the issue. Any thoughts? Is this a constraint of the free version? Thanks in advance, David
