Just wanted to let you all know that I finally figured it out! I just had to right click on the file name & select "Save Link As." Just in case anyone else has the same problem, thought I'd post the solution.

I can't download .wav files. When I click on the file, it just starts playing in QuickTime and I can't use my foot pedal. I have change the setting to select .wav files. I've tried cutting & pasting or copying or saving the file, but all it does is copy & past a link to the file, and there is no option for copying or saving the file, only the link. Any suggestions?
