I'm a college student and I have some classes where the professors give long lectures. I'm killing myself trying to keep up with note-taking. I'd like to record the lectures with a digital voice recorder (which I haven't bought yet) and put the file created on the recorder onto my computer (I have an iMac). Then I'd like to have some type of software take the audio file and turn it into a printable document. Will this software do that? If so, is there a specific brand of recorder you'd recommend? Since I don't have one yet, I'm open to all suggestions. I already tried MacSpeech Dictate software (I didn't buy it, but I e-mailed the company with this same question) and they said this type of transcription is not possible with their software. If this software is not what I need, does anyone know what I could use? Thanks!
