Hi Michael, Thanks for the suggestion. I installed the codec pack as suggested, using the default values but the result is the same. For interest I tried unsuccessfully to convert the same file on a different computer (processors were AMD and Intel respectively, both running windows XP). Perhaps there is something weird with the file downloaded from DAB radio, but it does convert using Roxio Easy Media Creator.

I am trying to convert an MPEG2 (MP2) file recoreded from DAB radio using Switch. The file is correctly recognised but on selecting convert a new file is instantly saved but appears to be empty (source file is 30MB, converted file is MP3 format but only 11K). I do have the latest DirectX codecs. Convertion of this file is possible by loading into Roxio sound editor and saving as MP3, but I direct method of conversion would be much more convenient. Any suggestions would be very welcome. Thanks!
