  1. So, each time I go to save a file, it offers me to save it as a wav file, even after I saved the last 20 as mp3. I noticed that hardly anyone ever gets a reply in here but thought I'd ask anyway
  2. In options, I have selected "Use the format settings which were used last time" yet each time I save a region of an mp3, it asks me what mp3 settings I require. It's a mild irritation rather than the end of the world however I would like it not to do this, if anyone knows the answer.
  3. You're right. I finally got the latest software and it is running fine and has restored my earlier backup. I apologise and take back my earlier comments. For free software, with backup and restore function this software is excellent.
  4. I have version 1.14. UNder the tools menu there is indeed the option to backup, But there is NOT an option to restore!
  5. When I read this post, I was looking to find out why I could not use my previous invoices after reinstalling my machine. I downloaded the latest version, which like all others I have had does not have restore enabled, and the day I made that post the Plus 'paid for' version was available, which was why I made my post. I saw it as a cynical move to disable restore facility, so i moved to a different invoice software. My facts are correct. I did email NCH about this, although I never did receive a reply.
  6. Well that's not really helpful when he's already said it's not in control panel duh Go to your program files folder, and look in the installation folder, typically NCH software. Under express invoice double click the file uninst.exe and that should work. If not, delete that whole folder, then do a registry clean for all items named nch, assuming you have no other nch software that you wish to keep of course
  7. If you're using the free version, see post http://nch.invisionzone.com/index.php?show...amp;#entry27344 If you've paid for it, look under Tools/Backup-restore
  8. I assume you're using the free version, otherwise you would see the backup /restore buttons under Tools. So here's the bad news.... When you add an item, a customer, and/or create an invoice, all of these actions (in the free version) are recorded in windows registry. There is no user database holding the information. Yes you can use the backup facility to backup the data files, but you cannot restore them unless you pay for the program. I think that's a cynical way of getting you to buy but hey...that's life. So, if you could be bothered, you could export all of the relevant registry settings, then import them back into your registry once you have reinstalled the program, or put it onto a new machine if that's what you're doing. Personally I stopped using it because if you make a lot of records, your registry is going to bloat even worse than MS software. You'll find all the data in the registry at HK current user\software\nch software
