  1. Okay - I have now verified that Express Scribe does something with my mp3 files -- it co-ops the original file or something and renders it unplayable in iTunes. iTunes says it can't find the original file -- so in the future, I'll copy the files to a new folder and then bring into Express Scribe. Very dangerous.
  2. Ahhhhhh.... thanks. That's great. So, I have 6 files in the DCT file - I was able to "switch" the first file in the list, how would I get the others? Shall I do a sequence of "Save As" to eliminate each 5 until I have 6 "save as'"? Anything simpler?
  3. to iTunes and the original mp3 files are no longer there. They play fine in Express Scribe.... so, I'm looking for a way to export the audio files out of Express Scribe so I can put them back into iTunes.... It's irreplaceable content and I'm desperate for a way to get the audio files. Also afraid to quit Express Scribe because I don't know if the audio files will load again. HELP!
  4. I haven't found a solution yet'.... Could someone tell me, when I load an mp3 file (for example) into Express Scribe, where is the audio? Also, if I email the file to myself, could I access the audio file? I'm just keeping the file open because I don't want to lost this audio, it is serious if I lose it. Thank you for any suggestions.
  5. Holy cow - I had 6 mp3 files in my iTunes. I accessed them and have been using Express Scribe to transcribe. Works great. But this morning, I went back to iTunes and the original files are gone. Catastrophe. I want to export the audio file out of Express Scribe so I can have it in iTunes again, burn a CD backup, etc. Is there a way to export the mp3 audio file out of Express Scribe. I'm freaking that I've lost those files for good. I would even hold my audio recorder up to the laptop speakers or do a line out if that's what it takes to recover the audio file. They're about 2 hours each. Thanks for any help.
