  1. 12. add option to 'build' to a VOB or ISO file ready to take into a DVD Builder, or alternatively add functionality to add a DVD menu then build and burn from within VP 13. make 'build' see a DVD burner. It currently sees CD/DVD burners as CD only and only allows option of build/burn to VCD. But I agree, an excellent program, 99% complete, and worth the effort to make small improvements. I found the user interface by far the easiest and most intuitive to use among the apps I am trying out for this job. Admittedly, I am working on smallish home video projects, not big commercial stuff. But for my money (and I'd certainly pay for this product if points 12 & 13 were addressed) this is the most readily accessible user interface I've yet come across for this job. Are there lots of us using this? Not much traffic in the forum. Add my thanks for listening too NCH, and thanks for the great free program. Bruce
  2. Yes, I've used it to add titles text to my video. I also didn't find it at first look. I don't have VP running here at the moment but look in the help files and in the menus for the word title. It works fine for what it is. I think from memory you click on the small star shaped icon that is shown at the start of each of the clips in your project time-line. Four items are there for selection, including text. Check the text box, then click on the word text and it will open up a text input/edit screen, including font size colour etc selection. This adds a text title to the whole of the clip. I wanted text to come up and stay for about five seconds, so I snipped the clip at five seconds in and added text to the first part, and added a cross-fade between the first and second parts, i.e. across the snipped boundary. Works a treat. Hope that helps. Bruce

    Burn to DVD

I'm making video projects of clips from a Canon FS100. All seems to work right up to the last step. On my desktop where the DVD burner is installed, the burner is recognised by VideoPad and the 'build' routine, however after what seems like a complete compilation, an error is returned and no actual burning happens. I wonder if the application has got as far as creating the .iso file before it crashes, and if so is it retrievable from a temp area? Anyone have clues as to where I should look? System is XP SP3. PS this app actually works very well on an Asus eee pc 1000H, screen res set to 1024x768. Hard to believe!! But good!!! Bruce
